Fun way to spend an afternoon in Santiago. I went up with my parents and wife and we had some great views of the city. We also tried more de huesillo for the first time after seeing all the locals getting it at the top. Overall it was a great afternoon.

This is a place for family enjoyment, helps people to reach the top of the hill easier than walking. Different way of transportation wow!
The funicular is a nice way to get up and down this hill, even if you are fit enough to walk it. Lines can be long at peak hours, so plan ahead. The bottom station has a neat look to it, like an old castle. It's amazing that this funicular dates back to 1925 and ascends the hill at a sharp 45-degree angle!
We were here on a sunny Sunday afternoon. There was a wait of about 30minutes to go up. But the views of the city were absolutely stunning. Recommended to go for anyone visiting the city. It is however a bit costly, for a return ticket you pay 2700 pesos pp.
Easy and simple way to get to the top of Cerro San Cristobal. Be ready to walk at the top because you have to walk up a few stairs to arrive to the final spot! Im posting a picture that includes prices.
It was a nice experience, there are nice vendors and plenty of information for turists. The only drawback is that you are going to spend about 40 minutes waiting for your turn to ride in funicular.
A cheap and easy way to get to the top of Cerro San Cristóbal without having to hike the whole way! It's a beautiful view the whole way up!
nice, old funicular, but beware the lines on weekends
