The oldest, most traditional palestinian restaurant in Santiago. Cooks haven't changed in years (or we haven't been able to notice it!) which is really good and unusual in the business. If you have a taste for this cuisine, the Omar Khayyam won't disappoint you. We have actually tasted here a few dishes here that we have learned to cook ourselves (that's probably the highest compliment I can offer). It is not inexpensive though. Also, it's hard to park near to the restaurant.

Delicious food and great service! They have some Halal options available. The lamb is halal!
Some dishes here are halal. Make sure you confirm they're available before you turn up as it is out of the way. We've been travelling South America for 2 months so far and this was our first halal meal. So definitely really enjoyed it.
The food was good but the waiter was a crook. He insisted on having a 50% tip! When he did not receive it, he was upset! This kind of behavior tarnishes the reputation of this restaurant. I would strongly suggest for anyone who does not speak Spanish not to go to this restaurant.
