The best plate of Mechada I’ve tried in my lif3. The best way to get authentic Chilean food in a most accessible place. The restaurant is an authentic ‘Ruka’ house which is the style of Tippee that Mapuche’s used. It used to be a Museum and still contains some objects. Served by authentic Mapuche’s. It’s as real as it gets.

Buen lugar para apreciar la cultura y artesanía Araucana.

Buen punto turístico. Dentro de los atractivos que la ciudad ofrece al turista está esta construcción que permite conocer la vivienda típica de la cultura mapuche en su real dimensión. También pueden degustar muestras de gastronomía a veces al interior o en los puestos que están circundantes a ella. Se encuentra en la calle principal muy cerca de la Municipalidad y de centros de artesanías.

Locale che riproduce la tipica abitazione mapuche, la ruka, con tanto di focolare al centro che serve anche per cucinare e cuocere le tortillas, il pane tipico. Quindi quasi un museo, con proposte di piatti tipici della zona. Piatti fra l'altro molto buoni e ben cucinati e dal sapore casereccio. Prezzi molto economici con 13000 pesos, circa 15 euro, abbiamo preso 2 "humitas" con contorno, un "costillar de cerdo" , anche questo con contorno, una "tortilla" e due caffè di grano tostato. Consigliato oltre che per il pranzo anche per immergersi nell'atmosfera un po' magica di una ruka mapuche.
