Don't use Sixt for your car rental. They tried to take the full amount of the car (not a joke) on the credit card as a warranty. We had to negotiate half of the amount in order to be able to take the car. Also, they force you to take an insurance even thought we had it already thanks to our credit card. My advise when you are tourist : try an other company.

Conmen and thieves. My wife reserved a car she could drive, but when we got there, they didn't have one. The desk man tried to get us a car from his mate next door (for about 3 times the price) which we declined. Changing our trip plans, we took another car. Rather than driving around the region as planned, we took it straight to the hotel and left it there. When we returned the car, it was magically "missing" an antenna, which they said the insurance would not cover. They showed us no evidence it was missing, or that it had ever been there. (I didn't get think to check the desk man's pocket). So they wanted to charge us extra for a car we couldn't really use in the first place. Poor service, unable to honor reservations, sketchy "damage" scams on return. You're better off walking.

Do not use Avis or Budget or any other affiliate of theirs in all of Chile. My story is too long to write out, but if there's a problem or they have to get you a permission to Argentina. It will be a really long drawn out process and you won't be able to call them, because hardly anyone answers the phone. The emails will be slow and there will always be extra fees. My situation was so bad that by the time it was all said and done, they said the permissions would be ready days after we arrived. This couldn't work for us, so we had to cancel everything and it was too late to make reservations with anyone else to have enough time to get Argentine permissions. You have been warned, the choice is up to you.

no alquiles en avis puerto mont, tienen practicas de piratas primero te exigen pages un seguro adicional si quieres el coche y cuando les comentas que no es obligatorio te pide una fianza de 3000 dolares con lo que te bloqueara tu tarjeta de credito, pedi un suv superior y no era 4X4 no tenia en el maletero cortina para ocultar el equipaje y ademas quieren que lo devuelvas mas limpio que la patena. alquila en otra compañia sera mas barato y con menos trabas.
