Along a route that takes you up from the coast to get a closer look at the mountain range vistas as you travel north from Santiago. We enjoyed learning about the threatened chinchilla population and had a chance to get some quality photos of the bird life at the park.

Well, closed in daytime. Night tours only! But reports are that it is an interesting tour.
Nice park but very dry. Chinchillas come out at night so not likely to see one except at the visitor center where they have displays .worth a look.

El lugar es precioso si te interesa el turismo diferente, más cerca de la cultura y del cielo
Bonito lugar, ambiente tranquilo y en armonía con la naturaleza. Se puede observar una madriguera de Degú y se puede interactuar con ellos alimentandolos. También hay un nocturama donde se pueden observar distintos tipos de roedores, como las chinchillas por ej, que sólo salen de noche. Abierto de 9 a 15 Hrs.
Ein sehr schöner, kleiner Nationalpark mit einem kleinen Nachttierhaus. Man kann dort auch übernachten, was empfehlenswert ist, denn die Chinchillas sind nachtaktiv und tagsüber sieht man sie nicht bzw. nur schemenhaft im Nachttierhaus. Der Rundweg ist gut erklärt und bietet einen sehr guten Überblick über die Pflanzenwelt dieser trockenen Region. Man sollte an Sonnenschutz und etwas zu Trinken denken, da die Flächen in der prallen Sonne liegen. Ich empfehle ebenfalls, das Geld für den Eintritt in bar mitzunehmen, da Kartenzahlung nicht möglich ist.
