Rented a stove and bought propane here in preparation for the W Trek in Torres del Paine. The rental process here was extremely disorganized. Upon renting the stove we asked for a piece of paper / proof of our rental so we could get the deposit back when we returned. The staff said it was not needed. 5 days later after the trek they had no record of our rental and it was a major 30 to 40 minute hassle to return the stove and get our money back. The staff asked me to identify the clerk who rented it to us who ended up not being present the day. They ultimately had to call the owner who had to drive over to solve our issue. We eventually got our deposit back but it was a huge time suck and nearly missed our bus to Punta Arenas as a result. This store needs to get organized! I recommend you rent and shop elsewhere!

I was traveling with my family and we booked 2 tours with them, the trekking and the full day tour. At night they called us in the hotel to invert the days and do the trekking in the 2nd day, informing it would better due to weather. All the forecast we saw in the internet said the exactly opposite, but we decided to trust the recommendation. We were fooled. The good weather was exactly the next day and we lost it because they had to change for some inexcusable reason. Additionally, they sent for the trekking tour for hotel pick up another company (Go Calafate), which we have saw their tour cheaper than we paid, but preferred to go with Carfran because it was the hotel recommendation. Basically, everything wrong.
I rented crampons from them. I missed a tour that I was supposed to take, so they let me keep the crampons for 2 days, but charged me for only one. We also booked a tour through them and it went well. They're all very nice there and they speak English.
Good place for reasonable price, close to city center, just 10 mins walk from bus station
Nice place. Franco (I think that's his name) was very friendly and welcoming. He really went out of his way to solve our problems, even bringing our forgotten passport to another part of town for us.
Very central location and nice and helpful staff. They even provide a sort of breakfast (sandwich, yoghurt, tea), which is nice. Free baggage storage while gone in the park. The bus to the park was cheaper booked with them.
A very peaceful and lovely stay. The staff is warm and welcoming, the rooms simple and clean. The bathrooms are plentiful and clean as well. Breakfast is provided, but it's very simple. Great, incredible prices for the area and ample tours with good prices, plus affordable equipment rentals. WiFi is so-so, but that's true all over Patagonia more or less. Entel has great service down here though, so for us digital nomads, it's no problem. I wouldn't say the hostel is RoK Gi Yeon certified digital nomad friendly, but the wifi is always on, so if you don't need fast internet but just a connection for your work, you'll be fine. Lots of great chill out areas too, which must be lots of fun in the summer. Oh, and a wonderfully large and equipped kitchen too!
Basic hostel. Beds are good. Breakfast is disappointing.
