It was surely a great experience. The food was delicious, desserts and cocktails were a close second, but the name of the place is rather misleading... It is not really a wine bar. The sommelier was knowledgeable and charming, that's true, but the wine was not the dominant feature of the meal. So the only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 is my clashing expectations. Other than that, it was a marvelous experience.
Food is excellent with strong flavors matching creative cuisine. Fair sized dishes. Wine selection is not huge (specially as they call themselves Winebar) but well sorted, including bottles from other countries. Service is attentive and knowledgeable, always with a smile on their face.
Good service and good food. The catch of the day is highly recommended as the arroz con leche.
The food was exceptional. Well balanced flavours and outstanding presentation. I didn't give it 5 because of the music. With such classy food I would expect classy music..something mellow and mild, something to compliment the food. Instead it was playing 90's rap music. I'm all for it, but it didn't suit the venue or the food. As a wine bar that would be versed in pairing wine with food I thought they would be of the same understanding with creating the right mood. The venue is modern and bright with hard edges so I personally felt the music needed to be softer to balance the ambience. The food was however a very enjoyable experience.
