We had an amazing time on our half day ride with Carmen. We had three riders with completely different experience levels. Carmen was so kind, friendly and positive. She kept our beginner safe and happy, gave me a bunch of intermediate tips that helped my riding, and gave my wife some more advanced rider freedoms. The scenery was beautiful and the horses were all great. I defiantly recommend Rancho Carhuello.

My boyfriend and I traveled to Chile in December 2020 to see the eclipse and camp in Patagonia. We had planned this trip a year in advance along with a group of friends but our plans had changed largely due to the pandemic so we scrambled to find things to do. A simple google search led us to Rancho Carhuello, where Carmen was gracious enough to fit us into the schedule and asked us some basic questions. We got there, she explained what the day would look like (we booked a partial day tour) and she gave us a rundown of horseback riding and introduced us to our horses, which were perfect for our body shape and level of knowledge. We rode on the side of the road in order to get to our destination. I was slightly scared so Carmen guided me through half of the tour. When we finally got to our destination, it was by the river with views of the Villarrica volcano! She provided a light lunch and also took pictures, which I highly appreciated since I decided not to bring my iPhone with me. Carmen’s presence during our stay in Chile was essential since I speak fluent Spanish but my boyfriend only has some knowledge so he got to pick her brain on everything Chile related. To me, this was one of the best highlights of our trip and I highly recommend taking a horseback riding tour with Rancho Carhuello if you really want to see Chile.
Rancho Carhuello is the best farm you can find in Chile. I did the half day trip, the full day trip and the 4 day trip and all of them were amazing. Carmen and Luis know their horses as good as their little daughter, and thats also how they treat them. No matter if you are a Beginner, advanced or perfect horserider, all of the trips offer something special, if river, mountain, forest or volcano, it's all there. The groups are not too big so they can always give the support you need. Carmen speaks German, English and Spanish fluent, so communication was never a problem. For me the 4 day trip was definitely a big highlight in my chile travel and if you have the opportunity to do it, you should totally go for it. I highly recommend it.

I had a wonderful full day ride here! I was lucky that I had a private ride with Carmen, as I had asked to join a ride with only experienced riders and there happened to be only beginners that had booked other rides. From the moment I contacted the Rancho through WhatsApp, Carmen has been super helpful, friendly and professional. Extra plus is that she speaks fluent English, Spanish and German, so communication is very easy. They provide an excellent pick up and drop off service to Pucon, which makes visiting the Rancho very easy if you don’t have a car. The Rancho is located in a gorgeous place, surrounded by volcanos! Carmen found me a perfect horse that couldn’t have matched my personality and riding experience any better. We were a wonderful team and my horse listened very well and was just amazing. Carmen truly cares for her horses, chickens, dogs, ducks, family and riders! Her little daughter is adorable! Carmen is super fun, friendly and knowledgeable and always makes sure you and the horse are safe and happy. I really enjoyed the full day ride, which had some very adventurous climbs/descents but I always felt safe with the instructions Carmen gave and my horse was able to do everything and seemed to enjoy the whole experience too! The nature and scenery is beautiful with lots of variation. I had a delicious lunch that upon my request was vegetarian, with a beautiful view to relax. Carmen made lots of photos, so I have many great memories from a beautiful day of riding to take with me. This Rancho really stands out as they truly care about their horses, riders and delivering a top experience in the nature. To top it all up: when we got back to the Rancho I saw the Villarica volcano erupting from my horse, incredible!! Thanks for everything!!
We had never done horseback riding before and we had the best trip with Carmen! She was very welcoming and made us feel completely safe with the horses. The landscape is also very beautiful and the 4 hour tour was perfect for us! A big thank you to Carmen for the great day!
Sollipulli Volcano I got to spend 5 amazing nights and days with Rancho Carhuello. Carmen and Luis are super friendly, accommodating and they work tirelessly to ensure you have the best time. Our guides on the tour were Luis and Judy. It's incredible Luis's knowledge and orientation skills in the often densely covered forest trails. And Judy never stops smiling a contagious smile and working hard for you. You can tell everyone at Rancho Carhuello is there because of their passion for horses. Don't hesitate to book a trip with them. You'll regret not doing so!
I did the half-day tour and I enjoyed it lot! Carmen is a very experienced guide and she is also very nice to chat with. The horse I rode looked great and was also very well trainend. I would definitely recommend going to the Carhuello Ranch!
