Amistar Apartments has no ethics as a business. Traveling with a 1 yr old baby, we were not allowed to check in but were still charged 250. They publicize 24/7 check-in on Airbnb but we were contacted through WhatsApp to tell us we had to check in before 7pm. (Additionally, they wanted us to send pictures of our passports and other documents via WhatsApp which we felt uncomfortable doing.) We rushed to make it there before 7pm but it was not possible so we were left scrambling to find another place to spend the night. We contacted Amistar Apartments immediately after checking in to the new place but they refused to cancel our reservation. We contacted them again in the following days to coordinate a new check-in time but they never answered our messages but still charged us the entire 250 (even though we were never able to stay there). We submitted a complaint but they only refunded 46 of the 250.

Fabulous staff and owner. Great central place to stay. Close to lots of sites. Offers personal day trips. Worth doing. Well appointed units with fully stocked kitchen. Supermarket right next door. Starbucks just round the corner. Very secure.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helped me get the most out of one night in Santiago. The rooms are large and the view is incredible. A great place to stay.
The apartments are located in the center of Santiago, a house with apartments, reception on the second floor, the English officer says almost nothing. Option for budget accommodation in Santiago, no food, cleaning not appreciated (stayed for one night). The apartments are clean, have tea, and a kitchenette. Keep in mind that after 8-10 pm in Santiago closed all!)))) We arrived late, found water, not dinner, shops and restaurants are closed. Attractions within walking distance. Near pedestrian street. Apartments worth the money.
