Definitely the place to be in central Valdivia. Great location on the pedestrian walkway between the central plaza and the riverfront/fish market. Very good coffee and cakes. Good atmosphere and on a sunny day the front patio area is choice.

One of my favorite places in Valdivia! The varieties of coffee drinks are amazing and just delicious. They also serve lunch and sweets. The serving are great too! Totally recommended

The waiter spilled my cofee on me and he didnt apologize. A quarter of the cake I ordered was burnt. I was there a few years ago and things were a lot better. I'm NOT comming back after what happened today.

When I arrived to minutes before their posted opening I was told I'd have to wait twenty minutes before they'd actually open. The atmosphere is lovely inside and on the patio, so I came back later in the day for onces. There is no WiFi and no power outlets, so do not plan on doing much work here. Beyond that, the meal was just ok with a small amount of white toast, an americano and rather small slice of torta.. What was rather upsetting was the frequent interruptions to my meal as the staff moved my things to restock the napkins, sugar, etc. It was quite rude as their purpose was not to better serve me, but rather an attempt to get ahead of their closing duties or table turnover. I had high hopes for this cafe after reading reviews & walking in, but the experience did not live up and all I could think about was how much better an experience I had at Cafe Luis that morning. I'll likely return for another chance, but also feel just as inclined to explore elsewhere.
